I have always been a fan of new technologies and in recent years this passion of mine has started to go wild because there are more and more high tech items that are starting to make their way into everyday use and into homes of the regular joe like me, so I have been piling up on useful new age stuff like state of the art cell phones, touch pads and computer technology.

However, one of the most interesting technologies that I have started using lately isn’t usually associated with high tech. It’s led gu10 lights. Yep, you read it right – lights, or light bulbs to be more precise. You see, the regular incandescent light bulb that has been in use during the greater part of the last century is very ineffective when it comes to power usage. It transforms most of the electrical energy it consumes into heat and this is why these light bulbs are so hot. Only a small fraction of the energy used is transformed into actual light.

During the past decade the development of fluorescent light bulbs as opposed to the classic neon light mounts has increased and managed to replace the classic incandescent bulb because it is more efficient in energy consumption. However, led gu10 lights are even more efficient when it comes to that and they have another major advantage. Unlike the fluorescent ones, led gu10 bulbs are much sturdier and more durable thanks to the way in which they are produced.
