The end of the year is approaching, and with it comes with tons of media outlets publishing their top tens, twenties, fifties and even one hundreds of everything they can put together top lists of.

Some of them are pretty dire and a clear attempt to just get some more readers, but one that I'm quite impressed by this year is Rolling Stone Magazine's '50 Best Albums of 2011'.

I enjoy having quite an eclectic music taste, so I'm pleased to see how eclectic the list here is. I was especially pleased to see the likes of Tom Waits and Paul Simon next to stunning songstresses like Adele.

One thing reading the article has done though is make me want to listen to all these albums! I have a few of them already but a lot of them have gone over my head, which I'm a bit surprised about! I'm going to have to download them and stick them onto my r4i so I can give them a listen on my commute!
